1. Israel’s food laws put a roadblock in the way of fellowship with pagan Canaanites, preserving their spiritual purity. Under the New Covenant, how do we balance Christ’s call to engage the world (through hospitality) without being compromised/conformed to its moral decay?

2. How does what we studied in this passage inform our quest to “Be holy as I am holy” (I Pet. 1:16)? i.e. what was the goal of these legislations and how do we pursue that ourselves. i.e. How does keeping "communion with God" as our primary aim essentially change our fight against sin from “duty” into joyful, gospel-fueled devotion?

3. The premise of this passage is that God's work is continually to cleanse and sanctify (life), while Satan's ongoing effort is to pollute and profane(death). Where do you see attempts by the enemy to profane what God made holy – i.e. our marriages, our speech, and our church culture today, and how can we collectively resist them?
