Acts Pt. 40 – All About Jesus

1. When we see God working through people/things/events – how do we respond in a way that keeps the praise/glory/emphasis on GOD and not the “means” of His work?

2. Read 2 Cor. 3:18; 5:17; 7:1; Ro. 8:29; 12:2; 13:14. 1 Co. 15:49. Ga. 6:15. Ep. 4:22–24. Col. 3:10. Tit. 3:5. 2 Pe. 1:5–9. What does scripture teach about sanctification – how does that show in this passage and where is this process showing up (or not!) in your life?

3. These Ephesian believers came to realize that their old practices (not just beliefs!) were not compatible with their faith in Christ. Are there habits, possessions, or attitudes in your life that the Holy Spirit is convicting you is incompatible with your walk with Christ?

4. We see the Ephesian Christians were willing to sacrifice Greatly to show their devotion to “the way.” Are there idols or distractions that you are holding onto because you feel the cost of letting them go is “too high?”

5. We see in vs. 20 that the word of the lord continued to spread and prevail mightily as a result of what was going on here – does the way you’re living, working, parenting, relating to others – contribute to the word and work of God spreading and “prevailing mightily” in your community?
